Martin K.N. Kollie, through his Foundation, has awarded 1 million Liberian Dollars in scholarships to 17 Liberian students. The event, hosted at the Corina Hotel in Monrovia, gathered beneficiaries, foundation staff, and media representatives in a celebration of hope on Wednesday, December 13, 2024.
The scholarships reflect Kollie’s Foundation’s commitment to fostering a fair and just society while promoting shared prosperity and equal opportunities for all Liberians. Martin Kollie, the founder of the foundation who is currently in exile, delivered an inspiring message through a representative. He emphasized the crucial importance of education and youth empowerment.
“Growing up in the slum communities of Logan Town, Jallah Town, and Stockton Creek, I understand the immense challenges faced by vulnerable populations. Despite life’s adversities, we aim to use our story to inspire hope and demonstrate that it is possible to rise above poverty and become agents of positive change,” Kollie shared.
He emphasized the foundation’s mission of connecting with underprivileged communities, nurturing dreams, and providing life-changing support. “We cannot do everything for everyone, but we can do something for someone. Together, we can create a legacy of equal opportunity and shared prosperity,” Kollie stated.
